Become a Mo Bro at the Valet

With Movember soon upon us, we will be soon seeing the men of the world sprouting Mo’s worthy of recognition for their charity-supporting prowess.

Well, this year, to help spread the word further, Kent Brushes have teamed up with the Movember cause to launch a barber kit. They are enlisting the help of some the UK’s finest traditional Barber shops, us included obviously, to help out in raising awareness and funds for men’s health. Specifically awareness of prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s mental health issues. So the Valet are only too pleased to be part of this cause.

Here at the Valet London we have just added a service to our menu specifically for Movember, that will include a free Kent barber kit on every booking of the service. All you need to do in preparation for Movember is to book yourself in and ask for the ‘Walter White’ service. The service is carried out using the same processes used in our Hot Towel Deluxe Treatment, but in addition we will style, design and shape a ‘tache of your preference or one that will be better suited to your face. The Barber Kit comes with a limited edition Kent Movember Moustache Comb, a Movember 2014 poster, some wristbands, a badge set, some mirror stickers, a Mo’ postcard and a style guide.

Joining the Mo Brotherhood!

You arrive in our Barbershop in need of a shave and decent Mo to boot – and so we first outline the desired Tache. We then prepare your face with hot lathers, gentle jets of steam, before continuing to cleanse the face with some Agua De Colonia scented hot towels, after which a pre-cream of menthol and eucalyptus oil is applied, followed by a further coat of hot lather – we’re ready for the shave. As soon as a clean shave has been executed we will finish off with a generous application of Geranium gel to fully cleanse, revitalise and replenish the skin. With some precision scissor styling aided to the tash and a touch of Bounder tash wax applied to define the desired shape, you’re fit to leave and shop and join the World of the Mo’ Bro-therhood.

As well as supporting the cause, the Kent Barber Kits are equally about style! This year’s mo’ maintaining comb is nothing short of a show-stopper, debuting a new black design with silver snake insignia that’ll look as cool adorning a set of keys as it does combing through top lip shrubbery. Handmade, as only the finest will do for Movember’s stellar-supporters, the teeth are saw cut, then hand polished and buffed to create a soft, rounded shape that will glide effortlessly through your manly mo’s.

For each comb in the Barber Kit, Kent Brushes will donate £1.00 to Movember to raise essential funds towards men’s health.
